KINILENS | Contrary to the usual din of a busy fishing trade market, all is calm and quiet in Pasar Bisik Kuala Muda, Kedah as people only whisper to do business with each other - with finger gestures aiding the “talk”.

This has been the tradition in the market for a long time where there is no sound or shouting while transactions take place. 

Local fisherfolk also refuse to change their practice as mere whispers provide them with the freedom to set their own prices to buyers - which includes wholesalers and restaurateurs.
