KINILENS | Hindus gathered at the Sri Subramaniar Swamy Temple in Batu Caves, Selangor to perform a religious ceremony in conjunction with Deepavali today.
The continuous heavy rain from last night did not dampen the spirit of the worshippers to flock to the temple since early this morning, some of whom even came from outside Selangor and abroad.
After the ceremony, many took the opportunity to take photos at the 272 colourful steps and in front of the 42.7m-high Lord Murugan statue, the third tallest Hindu deity statue in the world.
Deepavali, or Diwali, is an annual festival celebrated in the seventh month of the Hindu calendar, known as Kartik month.
