Cinemas have disinfected their premises in preparation to welcome back movie-goers from tomorrow. They are reopening as the country moves away from the full movement control order (MCO) that was first imposed on Jan 13 to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia confirmed in a statement that cinemas will reopen on March 5. This is subject to precautionary standard operating procedures (SOPs) including physical distancing, temperature screening, and regular sanitisation.
