Come July 1, cinemas across the country will be allowed to reopen after a 104 days of closure due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

When Malaysiakini visited an MBO cinema today, staff were seen busy spraying disinfectant on the premise and designating seats to enforce social distancing.

According to the government, the maximum capacity per theatre will be limited to 250.
