The ‘Merdeka: a collection of Dato’ Yap Lim Sen’ art exhibition recently held in the National Art Gallery, presents several artworks that address the theme of Malaysia's independence and its political development.

An artwork named “Mahathir’s Dilemma” by Wang Xu features six significant political leaders in Malaysia, of which five had once worked with the Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

In the painting are former Prime Minister Najib Razak, president of PKR Anwar Ibrahim, Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, former Deputy Prime Minister Musa Hitam, and former Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

The exhibition runs from July 8 till September 15.
