Members of the Hazardous Material Unit Team (Hazmat) clean up toxic waste from Sungai Kim Kim in Pasir Gudang, Johor. 

Pasir Gudang is experiencing a pollution crisis following the discharge of chemicals into Sungai Kim Kim last week, with locals being treated for exposure to toxic fumes.

According to Bernama,  2,775 people have sought treatment at several hospitals in Johor as of Mar 14 due to the incident, with seven of them in the Intensive Care Unit.
