Members of the Royal Malaysia Police Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) take part in a demonstration during the its 63rd anniversary celebrations at the unit's headquarters in Cheras on Tuesday, Feb 26.

FRU was established in 1955 as a riot control force and a special response team that can be deployed at any time to disperse or suppress riots and illegal assemblies.

Apart from ensuring public order, the unit also assists other police divisions in efforts including crime prevention and disaster relief.
