Shoppers continue to crowd hypermarkets and other grocery stores ahead of the Movement Control Order that will come into force at midnight until the end of the month in order to slow down the spread of Covid-19.

This is despite the order exempting hypermarkets and similar businesses, which means they can remain open during the partial shutdown.

Here, shoppers at USJ1 Mydin hypermarket in Subang Jaya are seen clearing shelves and forming long queues for groceries.
