Are you ready for an economic crisis?
An economic crisis is looming, and it won’t just be bad for the T20.
Nurhisham Hussein, the senior director of economy and finance at the Prime Minister’s Office, said that manufacturing jobs are expected to take a hit next month once raw material supplies run low.
This would mean less overtime and shifts for factory workers who are struggling to make ends meet.
Meanwhile, fuel shortages are expected to last until the end of the year, if not 2027.
Nurhisham, however, is concerned that the public doesn’t appear to be preparing for such a crisis.
Experts Malaysiakini spoke to say the government may be to blame for sending mixed signals about how bad things are and will be.

Rafizi, Nik Nazmi seek to upstage Anwar
Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad are set to reveal their future political direction this Sunday.
And they’re doing it at the same time that Pakatan Harapan leaders, including Anwar Ibrahim, will be addressing the coalition at a convention in Johor.
It’s not clear yet how Rafizi and Nik Nazmi plan to steal Anwar’s thunder, but speculation is rife that they’ll be announcing a new political movement.
Rafizi had said previously that he intends to give disenfranchised Harapan voters a choice in the next general election.

Jho Low wants a Trump pardon
Purported 1MDB mastermind Jho Low has applied to receive a pardon from US President Donald Trump.
The financier - who is believed to be hiding in China - is still wanted on criminal charges, including alleged conspiracy to embezzle 1MDB funds.
Speculation is rife that he is attempting to come out of the woodwork.
