Zafrul corrects Trump admin
Malaysia's tariffs on US goods are 5.6 percent, not 47 percent as claimed by the Donald Trump administration.
The correction was made by Investment, Trade, and Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz - who is tipped to be a possible candidate for the next Malaysian ambassador to the US.
His suitability for the job is likely to be put to the test when he heads to Washington DC later this month to negotiate tariffs with the Trump administration.
It is not clear how much Trump and his cabinet are willing to budge on the tariffs.
Reportedly, even Trump's best buddy Elon Musk failed to steer him away from the plan.

BN fields Ustaz to fend off PN
BN is fielding a candidate with religious credentials for the upcoming Ayer Kuning by-election.
Yusri Bakri is an ustaz and heads the Islamic and Moral Education Department at the teacher’s college in Ipoh.
The Ayer Kuning by-election will likely be a test of whether Perikatan Nasional has gained ground in Perak.
Political support in the state has not been tested since the 2022 general election.
Meanwhile, PSM is fielding its deputy secretary-general Bawani KS for a second shot at the seat.
She lost her deposit in 2022.
