Of Democrats and Harapan
The Democrats were soundly beaten in the recent US election, with Republicans - led by Donald Trump - winning the presidency, the Senate, and Congress.
Pundits believe that one key factor is that Democrats had spent too much effort trying to win over Republicans with a conscience while ignoring some key support bases like Arab and Muslim voters.
PKR lawmaker Hassan Abdul Karim believes there is a lesson for Pakatan Harapan to be learned here.
He said the coalition should stop trying to pander to ultra-Malays and instead focus on building their multicultural base.

MCMC FAQ doesn't answer question
The MCMC issued an FAQ on why it appointed U Mobile as the country's second 5G network operator.
Among others it stated that U Mobile was chosen based on several factors such as its business and technical plans, record on rates of complaints and customer satisfaction, and their performance in other infrastructure initiatives.
However, it did not specify how U Mobile’s past performance or 5G network plan was better than those proposed by competitors.
Meanwhile, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said MCMC had made the decision independently and that he was not involved.

This is over the case of Alias Awang, whose case Malaysiakini highlighted two months ago.
Alias had been attacked by a group, in which a shot was fired at him but missed.
He was then stabbed in the thigh.

Previously Tengku Eddie’s cousin, Pahang Crown Prince Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, had called for justice to be delivered for Alias.
