PAS touts absolution
PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has implied that supporting the party can lead to absolution.
He said a victory for Islam could cause past and future sins to be forgiven.
He then cited clamping down on gambling as one way sins can be absolved.
PAS mouthpiece HarakahDaily later deleted the article citing Tuan Ibrahim after Malaysiakini picked it up.

Two more years for 1MDB trial
Najib Abdul Razak's 1MDB trial may drag on for longer.
The trial began in Aug 2019, with the prosecution finally wrapping up its case last week, almost five years later.
If Najib is called to enter his defence, however, lawyer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah said the defence stage may take another two years, with the aim of completion by 2026.
That's the year Najib is also due to be released from prison after serving a reduced sentence for his SRC International case.
HIGHLIGHTS
'Madani censorship'
The government is being accused of censoring unsavoury news.
Former law minister Zaid Ibrahim alleged that some mainstream media were instructed not to cover the press conference of a disabled e-hailing driver, who was allegedly assaulted by Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim’s escort.
Meanwhile, the MCMC reportedly asked Meta to restrict a post by lawyer Shamsher Singh Thind prodding Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh regarding the Asia Mobiliti scandal.
MCMC denied the post was taken down on orders from Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching, as implied by Shamser.
Instead, it said the lawyer's post had violated Meta's community standards for being untrue.
Shamser, however, said it was the MCMC's response which was untrue.
