TMJ comes out swinging
Johor regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has come out against Selangor FC, saying it can blame him or another “grand conspiracy” over the recent string of attacks against the Red Giants players.
“Confirm this is all the work of TMJ with JDT, mastermind, and the hidden hand.
“What’s next Dr Johan (Selangor FC CEO Johan Kamal Hamidon)? The best way to cover up failure after spending RM47 million of the government’s/people’s money every year is by being good at making up stories,” he said in a social media post.
Tunku Ismail, who owns Johor Darul Ta’zim FC (JDT), also accused Selangor FC of playing the victim.
“Everything is TMJ’s fault, FAM’s, MFL’s and PDRM’s. They themselves never did any wrong. ‘False flag’,” he added.
The regent was commenting on a Malaysian Football League Instagram posting about a Selangor FC player who was robbed last night.

Akmal sees red over M’kini article
Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh has called on members of the wing to lodge police reports nationwide against Malaysiakini and its columnist Andrew Sia.
This was over the columnist’s piece, in which Sia branded UiTM as an “apartheid academy”.
Akmal demanded that Sia make a public apology for his writing and also urged Malaysiakini to take down the article from its website.
“Calling UiTM an apartheid academy was an insolent act that calls for action.
“I strongly call for Malaysiakini to take down this article and for Sia to apologise immediately.
“Due to this insolence, Umno Youth is also mobilising its members to lodge reports against Malaysiakini and Sia,” he added.
The Merlimau assemblyperson said the apartheid was a racist policy that segregated the whites from the black people in South Africa and it had been condemned by many including Umno and the Malays.

Dr M has nothing to hide
Former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad has made it clear that he has “nothing to hide” in relation to MACC’s investigation against him.
Conceding that there was corruption during his tenure, he however said that his hands are clean.
The 98-year-old politician added that he made sure his family members were not involved in government-related businesses.
Mahathir said MACC has not requested him to declare his assets, only his sons, Mokhzani and Mirzan.
On the same note, the former premier said it is a formidable task to declare assets spanning over four decades.
Asked if he would declare his assets if requested to do so, he replied: “Yes, they (MACC) are welcome (to ask) because I have nothing to hide.”
Last month, MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki confirmed that Mahathir is being investigated for alleged corruption.
