Harapan hops on Samsuri wagon
Samsuri-fever appears to have hit Pakatan Harapan.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said that Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar - the newly elected Kemaman MP - could help cool political tensions in the country.
He said Samsuri - who is also Terengganu menteri besar - is a moderate politician compared to other PAS leaders.
DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang had also positioned Samsuri as a replacement for Abdul Hadi Awang as PAS president.
Digital and Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, meanwhile, posited that the PAS vice-president could end up replacing Bersatu's Hamzah Zainudin as opposition leader.

Bar challenges Zahid DNAA
The Malaysian Bar filed a challenge against the attorney-general’s decision to seek a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) of Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi over 47 corruption charges.
The Bar said this was part of its statutory duty to uphold the cause of justice without fear or favour.
It argued that the attorney-general's discretionary powers under the Federal Constitution to halt criminal prosecution are not absolute.

Indira wins in court again
The Kuala Lumpur High Court ordered the government and the police to pay RM14,000 in legal costs to M Indira Gandhi.
This is over their failed bid to nullify her lawsuit to recover her daughter Prasana Diksa.
The government, police, and Home Ministry had wanted to stay the paying of the costs - which the courts rejected.
Indira is suing over the police’s alleged failure to track down her Muslim ex-husband Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, arrest him, and recover her daughter Prasana Diksa from him.
