HIGHLIGHTS
Dr M vs Thomas
Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has changed his opinion of former attorney-general Tommy Thomas.
While initially believing Thomas to be impartial, his opinion changed after the latter released his memoir and began expressing his opinions.
Nonetheless, Mahathir spoke highly of Thomas for taking action against Najib Abdul Razak when the previous attorney-general Apandi Ali would not.
HIGHLIGHTS
Shamsul vs Tawfik
Gerak Independent candidate Tawfik Ismail's request to contest in Bagan Datuk under Pakatan Harapan may have come too late.
The party is planning to field Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin - who defeated former Malacca chief minister Ali Rustam at the polls twice - to face Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Accroding to Perak PKR chief Chang Lih Kang, it was quite hard to accept such an eleventh-hour request.
Tawfik has said he would contest in Bagan Datuk regardless of Harapan's decision.
