Najib tries to nullify the SRC trial
Najib Abdul Razak's legal team has filed a fresh bid to nullify the SRC International trial.
The filing with the Federal Court seeks to disqualify judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali over conflicts of interest.
This is over Mohd Nazlan's time as a legal counsel with Maybank at the time SRC was being formed.
Najib’s team alleged that the judge must have at least some knowledge, or even had a hand in SRC's formation.

Afdlin had lost in his bid to unseat Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad as the division's chief by 110 votes.

Bon Odori: Culture vs religion
The great debate of culture vs religion is back in the spotlight, this time with Islamic authorities taking issue with Bon Odori.
The Bon Odori is actually a dance during the Bon festival - which honours the spirits of ancestors and has roots in Buddhism and Shinto.
The dance itself is originally meant to welcome the spirits of said ancestors.
Proponents argue that in Malaysia, Bon Odori is purely cultural - which Islamic Affairs Minister Idris Ahmad disagrees with.
Idris is advising Muslims to avoid the event.
