YOURSAY | China-Taiwan reunification: Nothing to do with M'sia

YOURSAY | 'Focus on uniting Malaysians, please.'

Rais wants China-Taiwan reunification group probed for 'communism'

HoyoHoyo: Rais Yatim, you are clueless and stuck inside a silo. China is second in economics, wealth, artificial intelligence technology, and space exploration.

Mainland Chinese has immensely progressed despite your outdated racist slurs.

The unification of China and Taiwan is not an issue. Funding 80 failed government-linked companies out of 200 with taxpayers’ money is an issue. The substandard quality of public universities is an issue. High national debts of RM1.5 trillion are an issue.

However, your village mindset is not concerned about these. The country's leaders, including you, regressed “Bolehland” over the last 50 years. Many Malays remain below B40 while you enrich yourself from their votes.

Find yourself a decent job to earn an honest living. Stop spewing garbage.

P Dev Anand Pillai: If that is the case, why do we then deal with mainland China? Why have we allowed them to take over our beloved national car company?

Aren't they using our facilities to sell their products to us, when we should be encouraging our local talent to take the helm of our companies?

China is pursuing its plans as it has never recognised Taiwan as a sovereign nation, therefore if a group supports that, let them be, it doesn't mean that they support communism.

Spinnot: A normal Malaysian association wouldn't care whether China and Taiwan are reunified or Taiwan becomes independent. This is a matter between China and Taiwan, what does it have to do with Malaysia?

How could such an ignorant person be the former president of the Dewan Negara?

Coward: “A normal Malaysian association wouldn't care whether China and Taiwan would be reunified or Taiwan would be independent."

Rather Rais has a narrow-minded view and thinking as he can't generalise his thoughts or that of his local area to the nation.

Either Rais chose to amplify one insignificant person’s rambling on the net or it was planted for him to be able to use it.

Turnedback: Trouble seeker, what happened to Taiwan related to China is none of our business. Focus on how to unite Malaysians of different races and religions.

Better talk about preventing massive corruption that happened within Umno leaders. Billions were stolen that can cripple our country financially. Make a police report now.

Lamborghini: Rais is trying to be noticed and recycled by using a racially tinted narrative to spook a section of the ignorant population.

He doesn’t even understand that Taiwan is anti-communist.

He is of the same gang as former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his ilk. They were once the political elites who could play the role of statesmen but chose to take the low road.

VioletZebra1305: Indeed. What a narrow-minded politician. What would he say and feel if someone abroad also thought of setting up an organisation to promote the “peaceful independence of one of our states” like what he mentioned?

We shouldn’t mess with other country’s matters.

He also mused about setting up an organisation to promote the “peaceful independence of Taiwan” in Malaysia.

GreenFalcon2290: I read about a country called China, the largest nation on the planet with whom a small nation called Malaysia does lots of business.

They whisper in the corridors, China is communist. Can someone please inform this man about this horror discovery, so all contact and trade may be halted immediately?

As to some who may be led to believe in communist ideology, I was brought up to use the brain I was sent with, and it worked well for me all my life.

Isn't it true at all? Is there an imminent risk he will be turned communist? Does he know the definition of that word and what it means?

BrownGoose2196: In trying to make oneself relevant again, people like this character will take every opportunity to raise issues to sensationalise.

He must realise that he is earning pension money in hundreds of thousands a month, and the least he can do is to put efforts into nation-building, even if he is in the opposition camp, please be constructive instead of creating such a divisive stance.
