YOURSAY | Hadi, PM term limit is to avoid abuse
2

YOURSAY | ‘PAS position on this is against the Federal Constitution.’

Hadi says limiting PM's tenure goes against God's will

Apanama is Back: PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, the question of limiting the head of state’s term to a specific number of years, was not an issue in ancient and medieval times.

Islamic contracts generally have a time-limit, the bai’ah is an Islamic contract so the bai’ah can have a time-limit.

Limiting the prime minister’s term in office has the element of preventing harm. This is because the extension of the prime minister’s term has the opportunity to open up the practice of abuse of authority.

In the dominance and hegemony of power, it is quite risky for the emergence of an authoritarian attitude to abuse power by the leadership. In fact, one of the requirements for leaders in the Islamic view is to be fair.

Hadi, Indonesia had carried out studies on their presidential term limit and found it is not against God's will.

Hadi, do not "buat bodoh" (feign ignorance) with your “bahasa pusing putar belit" (twisted words) invoking God's name and God's will.

I had a good laugh with your joke!

Constitutional Supremacy: Hadi, who is also Marang MP, says Islamic principles must apply in deciding a nation's leadership.

He appears to be still ignorant of our Federal Constitution and the fact that it is the supreme law of this country in accordance with Article 4 of the Constitution.

Our Federal Constitution consists of secular laws. The country's Islamic departments are created by secular laws too.

PAS’ stand is actually in direct conflict with the Federal Constitution and may even be open to sedition charges.

PAS’ position is a direct attack on the basic structure of the Federal Constitution.

Appum: This is the wishful thinking of PAS and Hadi's mindset that they are confident they will take over the government in the near future (next general election perhaps), and such rules limiting the prime minister’s tenure are not favouring them at all.

But Kelantan has already been in PAS' hands and power for more than 20 years. Still, it is one of the most deprived states economically.

Just compare it to Penang on the other side of the peninsula at almost the same latitude, what a drastic show of status in terms of economic status and development.

A vast continuum between a progressive urbanised state against a rural poor state estranged into religious bigotry.

Mazilamani: Where is it written that God is a politician, when spirituality talks about God being beyond duality and he is an entity or embodiment of love?

Politics as many other things is a creation of man, and don't invite God to play games with what he has created.

Leave it to the prime minister to decide how long he wants to serve, I don't think he wants to serve after 85 years of age.

FitnessPro: God’s will is for Malaysians to live in harmony. God’s will is for Hadi to be humble, teachable, magnanimous to others and to consider others better than yourself.

God’s will is for the leader to do his part excellently. This is for sure God’s will.

Hadi, why aren’t you doing all these things? The states that you are governing are so deplorable and so shady. You are not doing your role as a leader excellently. You are not teaching godly teachings. You are teaching random teachings that just suit you.

God’s will is for you to ask Malaysians for forgiveness, especially the non-Muslims. In this fasting month, show understanding, promote harmony, and uphold Islamic principles that promote peace.

Why are you spewing out words to divide this nation in this holy month? God’s will is now asking you to repent before it is too late.

GP2025: YB, unless you are unable to see, the Malaysian system is not an Islamic system. It’s a democratic system under threat by the Madani administration.

I agree with PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden, this is an undemocratic administration because it is run by minorities with royal support and dictated by minority interests.

DAP’s request is a minority request but it is not in any way religious for it to be unIslamic and an attempt to dismantle an Islamic system.

The system may have Islamic characteristics because it is run by mostly Muslims, but it is not an Islamic system. Please keep that in mind.

By virtue of being a minority government without majority support, the Madani administration if enlightened at all should introduce no laws that the majority of the people didn’t ask for.
