The police successfully rescued eight Bangladeshi men, who had been deceived and subjected to forced labour, during a raid on a vegetable farm in Tanah Tinggi Lojing, Gua Musang, Kelantan, on Tuesday (Jan 21).
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants Division (D3) principal assistant director Soffian Santong disclosed that the men, aged between 27 and 47, had been working as farm labourers without receiving their wages, despite some having worked for up to seven months.
