A Bersatu leader who criticised Perikatan Nasional's involvement in the rally supporting former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has quit the party and coalition.

Mahathir Mohd Rais, who was the Bersatu and PN Federal Territories secretary, announced his immediate resignation today.
