As controversy brews over Christmas celebrations, a DAP MP has questioned if PAS would extend its objections to other government-organised cultural and religious festivities.

Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng said if PAS is truly serious about this issue, the Islamist party should clarify whether it also intends to ban official Deepavali, Chinese New Year, Kaamatan and Gawai festivals, which government agencies also organise celebrations for.
