PARLIAMENT | Malaysia is firmly against genocide, said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
However, according to him, Malaysia has not signed the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide 1948 (Genocide Convention) for a number of interconnected reasons relating to the Rome Statute and International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (Icerd).
Speaking in Parliament, Anwar said this ranged from matters such as Malay rights to LGBTQ+ issues.
