The ringgit, along with other emerging market currencies, continued to depreciate against the greenback today as uncertainties over Trump 2.0 policies and their impact on the US Federal Reserve’s (Fed) monetary policy looms large, an economist said.
At 6pm, the local note slid to 4.4840/4870 against the US dollar compared with yesterday’s close of 4.4450/4495.
Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said the “bottom line is about the US interest rate decision...
