DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has urged the party’s Selangor delegates to elect four of its MPs into the state central committee as evidence of a commitment towards upholding diversity and inclusivity.
Speaking at the Selangor DAP Convention, he said the next state committee should comprise “CIMB” - “Chinese, Indian, Malay and also Punjabi”.
“From 50 contenders there must be ‘CIMB [...] There must be this diversity.
“If we see in Selangor, we have four MPs. In Puchong, Damansara, Klang and Bangi. These four seats have proven our diversity...
