MTUC chief, sec-gen at odds over RM1,700 minimum wage

While the Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) president lauded Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for planning to raise the minimum wage from RM1,500 to RM1,700, another official from his organisation panned it.

In a statement today, MTUC secretary-general Kamarul Baharin Mansor said that since 2013, his organisation has fought for the minimum wage to be set at RM1,800.
