Three people died and five others were injured, three seriously, in a seven-vehicle pile-up at KM42 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway today.

A Pahang Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said they received an emergency call at 4.13am regarding a road crash involving four cars, a three-tonne lorry and two trailers.

The crash involved 13 people, comprising nine men and four women.
