PAS MUKTAMAR | The district known for its patin (silver catfish) has begun welcoming PAS delegates from across the country since yesterday, with the climax expected on Sunday. The exact location is Kerdau, Temerloh, which will witness the 70th PAS muktamar.

The local delicacy, gulai patin tempoyak (silver catfish cooked with curry and fermented durian), is expected to be in high demand throughout this week, to the extent that it may not even be available for “export” out of Temerloh.

Approximately 5,000 delegates from across the nation are expected to attend PAS’ grand event, which will be held at the Al-Makmur Complex in Kerdau.

In the context of PAS’ history, Temerloh will remind us of a former stalwart, the late Suhaimi Said, who is a lawyer and PAS activist known for his unwavering commitment to the struggle and was detained twice under the Internal Security Act (ISA).
