Malaysia will contest for a seat on the executive board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) for the 2025-2029 term, according to the Education Ministry.
Minister Fadhlina Sidek, as president of the Malaysian National Commission for Unesco, will officially announce the country’s candidacy to compete during a meeting with Unesco deputy director-general Xing Qu in Paris, France.
