Police were forced to fire three shots at a car before arresting three suspected members of a luxury car theft syndicate during a 20km chase from Ipoh to Batu Gajah yesterday.

Perak police chief Azizi Mat Aris said the incident occurred about 4am when three police personnel on patrol at the Taman Soon Choon area spotted a Toyota Harrier being driven suspiciously and approached it.
