Kedah ruler Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah has decreed the state government to review the syariah judicial structure in the country, particularly in terms of a hierarchical system so it can better serve the related parties.

According to Berita Harian, His Majesty also stated that the government needs to improve the position of the Syariah Court judges to be on par with the Civil Court.
