Dewan Rakyat speaker Johari Abdul dismissed the need to hold an inquiry into claims by Ayer Hitam MP Wee Ka Siong that he was allegedly pressured to correct his remarks over the issue of imported eggs from India.

His response came following demands by Johari Abdu Ghani (BN-Titiwangsa) for the speaker to investigate Wee’s allegations.

The speaker once again pointed to the Federal Constitution, saying that MPs enjoy legal immunity under Article 63 when speaking in the House or to any of its committees...
