COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 258 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 5,035,871.
Active cases stood at 9,496, down 9.4 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another two deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as “brought in dead”.
The deaths happened in Selangor (1) and Kuala Lumpur (1).
Over the past week, an average of 1.1 people were reported to have died of Covid-19 daily, while the average for the past 30 days was 3.0, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on a downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,940 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There are 370 Covid-19 patients hospitalised of which 17 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Sabah (48) followed by Selangor (46) and Kuala Lumpur (19).
