COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 236 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 5,035,613.
Active cases stood at 9,549, down 10.2 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another two deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, and neither was declared as “brought in dead”.
The deaths happened in Johor (1) and Perlis (1).
Over the past week, an average of 1.1 people were reported to have died of Covid-19 daily, while the average for the past 30 days was 3.1, indicating Covid-19 deaths are on a downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,938 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There are 402 Covid-19 patients hospitalised of which 14 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Sabah (57) followed by Selangor (54) and Kuala Lumpur (12).
