COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,682 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.

Active cases currently stood at 22,006, down 18.1 percent compared to 14 days ago.

New cases according to states are as follows:

Another six deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday in Kedah (2), Perak (2), Johor (1), and Selangor (1).

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,738 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.

There are 1,401 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised, of which 91 are in intensive care.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (108) followed by Sabah (70) and Kedah (45).
