COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,436 new Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active cases stood at 33,965, up 13.0 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another eight deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday in Selangor (4), Johor (1), Perak (1), Sabah (1) and Sarawak (1).
Over the past week, an average of six people were reported to have died of the disease while the average for the past 30 days was 3.9, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,522 deaths have been attributed to the coronavirus.
There are 1,766 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 92 are in intensive care.
Hospitalised Covid-19 patients as of yesterday were nearly double that of a month ago.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (184) followed by Perak (96) and Sabah (94).
