The Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) has issued a flood preparedness notice for Pahang, Johor, Selangor, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, and Sarawak.

In a 5.30pm statement, it said the notice was issued based on rain forecast information provided by the Meteorological Department using the Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) model and the Southeastern Asia-Oceania Flood Guidance System (SAOFFGS).

There will be a possibility of flash floods due to heavy rain or a significant thunderstorm within 12 hours of the notice being issued.
