COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 1,667 new daily Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,821,864.
Active cases currently stood at 24,715, down 8.7 percent compared to 14 days ago.

Another seven deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which two were declared as "brought in dead".
Over the past week, an average of 4.7 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 6.0, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,324 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
The deaths were reported in Kedah (2), Selangor (2), Johor (1), Negeri Sembilan (1) and Sabah (1).
There are 1,079 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 59 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Sabah (80) followed by Selangor (78) and Johor (35).
