COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 5,330 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday, the highest in two weeks.
The relatively higher case count yesterday arrested the five-day slide in active Covid-19 cases.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another 10 deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as "brought in dead".
Deaths were reported in Perak (3), Selangor (3), Johor (1), Malacca (1), Negeri Sembilan (1) and Pahang (1).
Over the past week, an average of 7.6 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 7.0, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,995 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There are 1,560 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 49 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (130) followed by Johor (95) and Sabah (68).
