COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,796 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday - the highest since May 13.
Active cases currently stood at 27,318, up 20.1 percent compared to 14 days ago.

One death was reported yesterday in Kuala Lumpur. The victim was classified as "brought in dead".
Over the past week, an average of 1.7 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 3.2, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,742 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 66 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 129 deaths last month and 564 deaths in April.
There are 1,009 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 38 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (183) followed by Johor (85) and Sabah (61).
