Najib: Not a single sen of public funds used to repay 1MDB debts
BobbyO: Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, why did Goldman Sachs, the US Department of Justice (DOJ), and all the other entities pay billions of dollars if there was no crime committed?
Did they pay for the fun of it or they had so much excess funds that they, like the Saudi royal, decided to give billions to this nation just because they like us so much?
Either way, Najib, you are losing it. Your sense of rational thinking, that is. Or you make Malaysians feel as if they are born fools. Indeed, some of us are. Those who root for you and want to be part of your entourage, wherever you go.
You only told half the truth - that the nation had recovered the full portion of the heist. There are billions more outstanding, which the taxpayers are forking out year after year.
Dr Raman Letchumanan: Najib, excellent point. So are you going to file a fresh appeal to the Federal Court to say since the money has been recovered, your conviction in the SRC International case should be withdrawn? And your ongoing case on 1MDB should also be struck off?
No wonder your hotshot lawyer is off to the UK to hunt for a Queen’s Counsel. No wonder you are called Bossku. No wonder you are campaigning hard in the elections. Once in power, all cases can be ‘kautim-ed’.
But still, this strategy is not far-fetched. Charges were withdrawn from a Felda senior official who paid back the money he received.
In any case, have you heard about ‘lembu punya susu, sapi dapat nama’? (One man’s sweat becomes another man’s glory) You plundered and miraculously the Pakatan Harapan government recovered the money. And you are proudly claiming credit for it.
Let me give you a suggestion. Please help the present government recover all the money.
Federal Bakery: The audacity. It is like someone crapping on your doorstep saying he actually used his own toilet paper.
He thinks he is talking to idiots even if his words are meant for the gullible section of the population, including those who would invite him to talk to kids in schools.
The money that was returned to the government was only recovered because of the integrity of systems in other countries that are still ruled by laws.
In the ordinary course of events, if it was left only to our own regulators, not only would this canary be flying free but the stolen loot would be funding the pleasures of degenerates from here to the Virgin Islands.
Betul Malu Bukan Maluapa: ‘National embarrassment’, have you have finally admitted the 1MDB funds that were under your watch “went missing” or in simple English “was stolen”, and it was the US DOJ that recovered and returned the billions?
What about the remaining sum to be repaid and not forgetting the millions taken from the EPF/KWAP (Employees Provident Fund/Retirement Fund Incorporated)?
It was God's blessing that Harapan won the 14th general election and exposed all your wrongdoings. Otherwise, you will still be claiming the US$681 million found in your bank account was a donation from the Saudi royalty.
Your deputy at the time, now Umno president, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi even help you cover your tracks.
BlueFish0451: Ex-finance minister Lim Guan Eng and his aide, Tony Pua, as well as ex-attorney general Tommy Thomas and his team in the AG’s Chambers worked hard to recover the stolen money.
Not to forget the private citizens like the lawyers who acted pro bono to take possession of the Equanimity, etc.
If left to the BN people, more would have been lost.

Indeed, it would seem from the majority of evidence that has been placed in the public domain, he went out of his way to obstruct the very process he now hails a vindication.
Coward: It's Trump's refinancing logic - keep remortgaging the assets, capitalising on the appreciating value instead of paying it off and spend the difference.
It's a house of cards because eventually, you will lose the property when you cannot keep up with the repayment.
Even that biggest practitioner of this disdain him. That says a lot about Najib.
JusticeNow!: The one who stole the money is expecting everyone to believe him.
And the House speaker threw out the MP who was so disgusted about such blatant shamelessness happening in the most prestigious institution in Malaysia.
Sun: This man is an incorrigible and shameless liar. He or his government did nothing to save the public from bearing the debt of the 1MDB debacle.
If not for the hard work of the AG under the Harapan government, the citizens would indeed be bleeding profusely to settle these debts.
Institutions like KWAP and EPF were used to finance the 1MDB theft and now he shamelessly says the public did not have to pay a sen.
Even when you sit in prison for your sins, the public will be paying for your upkeep!
