More than 7,700 healthcare workers have been tested positive with Covid-19 so far this year, with almost half of the number recorded within last week.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the Health Ministry found the number had increased from only 284 cases in the first epidemic week of 2022 to 3,343 in week six, which is between Feb 6 and Feb 12.
