The Selangor Forestry Department said the 264ha of forested land identified by the Rimba Disclosure Project as being sold on the internet are not gazetted as part of permanent forest reserves.

"Based on checks by the department, it was found that the locations for sale were not gazetted as permanent forest reserve under the National Forestry Act (Adoption) Enactment 1985," said Selangor Forestry Department director Ahmad Fadzil Abdul Majid.
