The towing of vehicles submerged by the flooding last weekend has nothing to do with a scheduled visit by Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob to Hulu Langat today, according to Dusun Tua assemblyperson Edry Faizal Eddy Yusof.
When contacted, Edry said efforts to move the vehicles, now stranded on the roads after water levels finally receded, had started earlier.
"We have already started towing. The towing has nothing to do with PM's visit," he told Malaysiakini.
"After the floods, there were many cars submerged and stranded. Some were blocking the roads.
