YOURSAY | Self-flattery in 'Keluarga Malaysia' report card

YOURSAY | ‘Inflation and unemployment are soaring as are egos of our incompetent cabinet.’

PM gives cabinet 90pct score on their 100-day report card

BobbyO: It looks like Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob is living in dreamland.

He gave his government a 90 percent score - is he for real? How did he come to this conclusion given we are a small nation with such a large number of ministers?

It really boggles the mind. Not forgetting, we also have prime ministerial advisors and politically appointed foreign ambassadors.

Let us look at the situation this nation is in. A trillion-over ringgit in national debt. Investors bypassing us or running for the door. Citizens are planning to leave or intend to make sure their future generations are secured somewhere overseas.

Racial relationships are at its worst with religious zealots running this nation, making statements and laws based on religion while the prime minister sits by the sides, not bothering to put a stop to all this nonsense.

Covid numbers are still in the four digits even after 97 percent of adults have been fully vaccinated.

Criminals caught with corruption monies are allowed to roam free. All under the guise of so-called 'donations'. Yet the funds have been channelled into their personal accounts. Corruption is at its peak.

The list goes on. Even after all these negative situations that this nation is in, this PM can give 90 percent marks.

NoobMaster69: Ismail Sabri, most of your ministers are incompetent. They only read from prepared scripts when they are in Parliament and fail to answer simple questions during the question-and-answer session. If they deserve 90 percent, then Pakatan Harapan ministers should get 200 percent.

Our corruption ranking also keeps falling - this year from 51st spot to 57th. This is the first time I see a government saying they are doing well despite an increase in corruption.

Uragt: Were any officers found responsible for the LRT train crash? What about the officers who failed to spot transactions of millions of dollars in the Bank Negara system?

Of course, not forgetting the educators who support molesting and/or harassing girls who are ovulating.

God Bless Malaysia: Syok sendiri (self-praising) scores. How did the ministries achieve this when every day we hear bad news such as price hikes, increase in Covid cases and deaths?

There is corruption in every nook and corner. The auditor-general reports of poor performances and yet no solid actions have been taken in the last 100 days to resolve this.

It is reported that only 25 percent of their score is from public input? Was there an independent party hired to evaluate their achievements?

PurpleBeetle3519: Malaysiakini should investigate the survey conducted by the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Unit (Mampu).

I was one of the participants who answered the survey as a member of the public, and I certainly did give them failure-level scores ranging from one to three out of 10.

It is reported that 190,914 members of ‘Keluarga Malaysia’ were involved in studies conducted by Mampu. Surely some independent experts can query Mampu on the validity of the survey design, targeted sample size, and so forth.

From the comments of others here, I have to conclude that no one believes the present government achieved a 90 percent score.

PurpleJaguar0553: Where is the score card? What key performance indices (KPIs) have been achieved? Who did the scoring? Where is the evidence of the achievements?

Who are these 191,000 persons whose views were canvassed? What questions were asked and what knowledge did they possess to answer them?

This seems to be an exercise in self-flattery to feel good despite incompetence in managing the pandemic and economy. Prices, inflation, and unemployment are soaring as are the egos of our incompetent cabinet.

Easy123: The rakyat’s opinions are more important, Mr PM. Here are my two cents:

  1. Economic management - 5/10
  2. Tackling corruption and leakages - 3/10
  3. Racial and religious issues - 3/10
  4. Education - 3/10
  5. Crisis management, especially Covid-19 pandemic - 5/10

Purple Occa 8200: Indeed, super nonsense. Please provide individual details of job allocated and their achievements.

We don't even hear from 90 percent of the ministers or see them in public. Where is Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Rina Harun?

Come on PM, be realistic. Three-quarters of them are tak boleh pakai (useless). Don't let us put you on this list too. If you say perhaps about 10 to 20 percent fared poorly, we may have believed you.
