The Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO) has welcomed the government’s recent commitment to table a policy paper in the cabinet this year to criminalise stalking.

While it commended the government’s effort, the group reminded there are gaps in existing laws that made stalking survivors vulnerable and urged the government to speed up the criminalisation.
