The number of people requiring hospitalisation for Covid-19 is dropping at the national level, down 11 percent over the past week.
However, hospital admissions in some states are on the rise, such as Kuala Lumpur (+13 percent) and Sarawak (+14.8 percent), according to the CovidNow website.
Overall, the number of Covid-19 cases is in decline. The R-naught as of yesterday was 0.86. An R-naught of below 1.00 is desirable because it suggests that the spread of Covid-19 is slowing down.
Only Kuala Lumpur has an R-naught of above 1.00.
