Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has appointed former Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairperson Hasan Arifin as its chairman effective Oct 1, 2021, succeeding Mahdzir Khalid, who was appointed rural development minister with effect from Aug 30, 2021.

Hasan, 68, was appointed chairperson of Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd last year and was the PAC chairperson (2015-2018), Southeast Pahang Development Authority chairperson (1995-1998) and Pahang Agricultural Development Corporation chairperson (1990-1999).
