COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 22,262 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative infections to 1,535,286.
There were also 223 deaths, while the number of active cases has exceeded 260,000.

New cases by states
A total of eight states and federal territories registered fresh infections in the four digits as the pandemic starts to spread more aggressively beyond the Klang Valley.
Apart from Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, states reporting new cases in the four digits are Sabah, Sarawak, Kedah, Johor, Penang and Kelantan.

The deaths today brought the death toll to 13,936.
Deaths were reported in Selangor (77), Sabah (27), Kedah (23), Penang (20), Kuala Lumpur (18), Malacca (18), Johor (14), Negeri Sembilan (11), Perak (7), Pahang (5), Sarawak (2), and Putrajaya (1).
