COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 5,150 new Covid-19 cases.

The number of active cases continues to trend downwards and has gone below the 70,000 mark for the first time since May 26.

However, the number of Covid-19 patients who need intensive care is still creeping upwards and a new record was set today.

Based on ICU bed figures reported by the Health Ministry to the World Health Organisation on June 6, ICU bed usage as of today was 82.9 percent.

  • Active cases: 67,949
  • Patients in ICU: 924
  • Intubated: 453

Negeri Sembilan recorded the second-highest number of new Covid-19 infections with 607 cases followed by Sarawak at 570.
