Pakatan Harapan has rejected a proposal by their former chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad for a National Operations Council (NOC) government similar to the one in 1969.

"As a party that upholds parliamentary democracy, Harapan rejects the NOC based on our consistent stand that the state of emergency needs to end immediately.

"(We also call) for Parliament to re-open now," the coalition's presidential council said in a statement this morning...
